2017 Volkswagen Tiguan vs. 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan
As it goes with any popular model, changing tastes and driver demands require that enhancements must eventually be made. Such is the case with the 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan, which is set to arrive during the new model year, marking the second generation for our popular crossover SUV. So what should we expect for the new model year, and what changes have been made?
The first major change is the most obvious and noteworthy: while the outgoing Tiguan offered only a two-row, five-seat design, the new Tiguan will also present buyers with a three-row, seven-seat option. This means that the compact crossover will be among the only three-row options offered which, along with its 57% increase in available interior cargo volume, will present an altogether different option in a competitive auto segment.

What Else is Different on the 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan?
When it arrives in summer of 2017, the 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan is certain to attract attention not only for how it looks, but also for how it performs. The 2018 Tiguan will be equipped with a standard 2.0L TSI engine that, although returning a slightly lower number of total horsepower than before, will be able to deliver a higher torque output. Additionally, with its available 4Motion All-Wheel Drive system, it’s capable of offering driver confidence in all conditions.
The tech features of the new Tiguan are also extremely impressive. The new Volkswagen Digital Cockpit replaces traditional gauges with digital ones, allowing operators to switch between different settings -- Off-Road, Navigation and more -- depending on the situation that a person is facing. Meanwhile, the popular VW Car-Net App-Connect interface returns, letting users easily control navigation and streaming music from the central 8-inch touchscreen.
